OUR SERVICES

If it has an edge, chances are we can sharpen it.
Sharpening Services
All sharpening is done on a Tormek T-8 water-cooled system using precision jigs for knives, shears, woodworking tools, lawn and garden blades, and outdoor tools. Water cooling protects the temper of the steel and ensures controlled, repeatable, factory-quality edges on every tool.
Knife Sharpening
Knives are sharpened on the Tormek T-8 using knife jigs that hold the blade at a consistent angle throughout the grind. Water cooling prevents overheating and maintains the original hardness of the blade. The final edge is polished on the leather honing wheel to deliver a razor-sharp, long-lasting finish.
We sharpen:
- Chef knives and kitchen sets
- Paring, carving, and slicing knives
- Santoku and specialty blades
- Pocket knives and EDC blades
- Hunting and outdoor knives
- Many serrated knives (select styles)
Scissor and Shear Sharpening
Scissors are sharpened using dedicated Tormek jigs, ensuring correct angle, controlled removal, and consistent sharpness from pivot to tip. The water-cooled grind keeps edges cool and prevents microfractures.
We sharpen:
- Household scissors
- Sewing and tailoring shears
- Craft and shop scissors
- Light industrial shears
Clipper Blade Sharpening
Clipper blades are disassembled, cleaned, sharpened, aligned, and tested to ensure smooth, cool-running performance. Each blade is checked for proper tension and parallelism after sharpening.
We service many:
- Barber clipper blades
- Groomer clipper blades
- Detachable blade systems
Lawn Mower Blade Sharpening and Balancing
Lawn mower blades are sharpened with controlled angle grinding and finished with proper balancing to reduce vibration and engine load. Each blade is checked on a blade balancer after sharpening.
Suitable for:
- Standard mower blades
- Mulching blades
- Light commercial mower blades
Circular Saw Blade Sharpening
Carbide-tipped circular saw blades are cleaned, inspected for damaged teeth, and sharpened to restore smooth, accurate cutting performance. Proper tooth geometry is maintained for each specific blade type.
We sharpen many:
- Construction and framing blades
- Fine woodworking and finish blades
- Miter saw and chop saw blades
Woodturning Tools and Chisels
Woodturning tools are sharpened on the Tormek using jigs designed for gouges, skews, and straight edges. This produces highly consistent bevels and repeatable geometry every time, ideal for controlled cuts and smooth turning surfaces.
We sharpen:
- Bowl and spindle gouges
- Skew chisels
- Parting tools
- Bench chisels and carving tools
Axes, Hatchets, and Machetes
Outdoor blades are sharpened using proper jigs to restore bevel shape, remove damage, and produce an edge that bites cleanly into wood or brush. Water cooling protects the steel from overheating during repair work.
We work on:
- Camp and pack axes
- Splitting axes
- Hatchets
- Machetes and brush blades
Edge Testing and Quality Control
For many knife jobs, we offer edge testing so you can see the sharpness of your blade in measurable numbers. This gives you a before-and-after comparison and helps you track edge life over time.
